Q. Is bed linen provided?
A. Yes, bed linen and tea towels are supplied. Bath towels are supplied to overseas guests.
Q. Is smoking permitted in the cottage?
A. No, sorry but smoking is not allowed in the cottage itself.
Q. Can pets be accommodated in the cottage?
A. Sorry, we are unable to cater for pets in the cottage.
Q. What kitchen amenities are available?
A. Tigh Lal's has a small but well equipped kitchen, containing an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and washing machines, plus a full range of cooking utensils (pots, pans etc). A dryer is also available in an outside unit, along with outside tables and chairs, and a washing line.
Q. What are the arrival and departure times?
A. You can arrive at the cottage from 3pm onwards and we would ask that you vacate the cottage by 10 am on your departure date to allow us to prepare for the next guests.
Q. Is it far to the nearest shop, pub, restaurant, bus stop or beach?
A. Not at all, as you are right in the centre of Spiddal village you are no more than 2 minute walk to all these amenities and more.
Q. Is car parking available?
A. Yes, secure off-street parking is available for 3 cars with ease.
Q. Is there a television?
A. Yes, TV (terrestrial channels), DVD player and radio supplied.
Q. Is there for Wi-Fi available.
A. No, Wi-Fi is not available on site but is available in the local hotel (An Cruiscín Lán) and local library, both under 2 minutes walk from the cottage.
Q. Do I need to dispose of our domestic waste?
A. No, all household domestic waste (landfill and recyclable) will be taken from the outside bins as required.
Q. Is there a playground or similar close to the cottage?
A. 3 beaches (2 big, one small) are all within very short walking distance of the cottage. However, there is a well-equipped outdoor playground 2km to the west in the local Spiddal GAA grounds, which also provides a large safe open area for the kids to run wild.
